Russia Fires New Small Cruise Missile at Ukraine

Russian troops have begun using a new small cruise missile in the war.

Photos of the remnants of this munition were published on the Ukrainian Telegram channel Colonel GSh.

It is known that the new weapon is equipped with a turbojet engine, which provides the ability to cover significant distances. This makes it potentially dangerous for targets located deep in the territory of Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that Russia is actively developing new types of cruise missiles. Recently, the Russian Federation has been trying to modernize its arsenal, in particular by creating more compact munitions.

“It’s conceptually similar to our Peklo missile,” the author of the photo said.

In particular, in 2025, it became known about the use of S8000 Banderol cruise missiles against Ukraine. Their use was recorded during massive attacks on infrastructure.

The S8000 missile was designed and manufactured by the Kronstadt Joint Stock Company. The product is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 620-650 km/h, and a cruising speed of 520-560 km/h.
