The Kalashnikov Concern has announced the full fulfillment of the 2025 state contract for the production of 5.45 mm AK-12 assault rifles of the 2023 model. All products were delivered on time.
AK-12 remains the main standard automatic weapon of the Russian Armed Forces. Serial production of the model is maintained at high volumes, according to the Kalashnikov Concern’s Telegram channel.
At the same time, the company has created a shortened version – the AK-12K 5.45 mm assault rifle, designed for assault and reconnaissance units.
The contract for AK-12K production was also fulfilled in 2025. The products have been delivered in full.
The concern claims that foreign partners are interested in AK-12 assault rifles, attributing this to their active use in the war against Ukraine.
According to official information, the export order book for 2026 is fully formed.
The AK-12 is part of the Ratnik equipment and is considered an updated version of the automatic system for the Russian army.
The 2023 model received changes in ergonomics, adaptation to use at any time of the day, and a claimed increase in accuracy.
The concern positions the AK-12 and AK-12K as key products in its line of small arms.
