Russia has claimed the use of “Peklo” missile drones developed and produced by the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.

This is reported by the Mash Telegram channel.

The Ukrainian “deep-strike” weapon allegedly attacked the infrastructure facility of the Druzhba oil pipeline.

On December 6, 2024, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi solemnly handed over the first batch of the newly developed Peklo missiles drones to the Defense Forces.

Information about them is currently limited, and from what is known, the maximum flight range is more than 700 kilometers and the speed can reach 700 km/h.

Other characteristics of the new drone are not disclosed due to security restrictions. However, the participants of the presentation said that its effectiveness was not inferior to certain types of Russian cruise missiles at a fraction of the cost.

According to Mash, the Novozybkov intermediate oil pumping station (abbreviated as PNS, Russian: Промежуточная нефтеперекачивающая станция) was attacked in the village of Mamay.

It happened yesterday, December 30, 2024, at 4:30 am local (Moscow) time in the Bryansk region.

“The attack was carried out with a Peklo missile drone. The pipeline was not hit. The attack partially destroyed a maintenance facility on the territory of the site,” Mash wrote.

It is unclear whether the strike in Russia affected oil pumping due to the use of Peklo missile drones. In 2023, the PNS did not pump oil, and the tanks were empty.

Dnipro Osint ⟨Harbuz⟩ has already established the geolocation of the affected building on the territory of the Novozybkov oil pumping station:

The intermediate oil pumping station belongs to the Russian company Transneft, which is responsible for the transportation of oil through Russia. The Novozybkov is the last station on the section before the border, where the oil goes on to Europe.

Russians claim that since the beginning of the large-scale aggression against Ukraine, the facility has been regularly attacked, for example, in March 2023, company representative Igor Demin told the Russian propaganda agency TASS that explosives had been found on its territory.

He then stated that the company had noticed an explosive device having been dropped from a UAV near the station. “Investigative actions are underway, and there were no damage or injuries,” he added.

On February 1, 2023, the company also reported an alleged attempt by the Ukrainian Defense Forces to shell the station.
