Russia claims today’s explosions in the occupied Crimea are “sabotage”.
The Russian propaganda media reported about this.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that the morning explosions near Dzhankoi occurred allegedly as a result of sabotage.
“On the morning of August 16, as a result of sabotage, a military depot was damaged in the area of the Dzhankoi settlement,” the statement says.
According to the Russian invaders, damage was caused to civilian objects in the Dzhankoi district, including power lines, a power station, a railway line, and residential buildings.
However, there were no “seriously injured” people, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
“Necessary measures are being taken to eliminate the sabotage aftermath,” the statement reads.
Tamila Tasheva, the Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, informed about the queues at the exit from Crimea formed on the Kerch Bridge after the explosions.
“The war came to Crimea so “unexpectedly”. Invaders and colonizers are already fleeing Crimea. Today, after yet another careless handling of ammunition by the invaders, it detonated in Dzhankoi district. People are hiding in basements. There are huge queues to leave Crimea,” Tasheva wrote.
OSINT researcher @girkingirkin released a video on Twitter featuring Russian military equipment, including Grad multiple rocket launchers and boxes of various ammunition, at the Azovska railway station in the area where the explosions took place. The shooting date of this video is unknown.
At this railway station, weapons and ammunition were loaded onto echelons for the provision of Russian troops in Ukraine.
As previously reported, on the morning of August 16, in the temporarily Russian-occupied Crimea, there were explosions at an ammunition depot in the Dzhankoi district.
