The Rubizh Brigade of the National Guard attacked Russian positions in the Luhansk region.

The video of the attack was published on the official Telegram page of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Thanks to the close cooperation of the units, a tank from the National Guard’s Hird tank battalion, supported by a drone, successfully fired at enemy positions.

The tank crew acted quickly, which allowed them to strike and quickly retreat in a matter of minutes.

It should be noted that such direct attacks on the enemy positions are quite dangerous and are associated with several factors that may not always play in favor.

First of all, it is the threat of drones with munition and FPV drones, which is quite acute, especially when using heavy armored vehicles.

In addition, the low reversing speed of Russian tanks also poses a danger, which in a critical situation may not allow the crew to successfully leave the position.

For this reason, the crew must work out an escape plan, which in most cases involves the use of smoke grenades or smoke screen system, after which the tank begins to maneuver to turn around.

More illustrative and effective in such tactics is the use of Western tanks, for example, Leopard 2A4 from the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, when one tank fired at a Russian convoy near the town of Kurakhove in the Donetsk region.

While moving toward Ukrainian positions, the Russian convoy was detected and destroyed by a Leopard 2A4 main battle tank in cooperation with artillery. The Russians, having failed to achieve their objectives, landed their infantry in a forested area. Ukrainian drone operators immediately began to destroy them with the help of dropped ordnance.

The 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade reported that two tanks, an armored personnel carrier and three other armored combat vehicles had been destroyed as a result of the fighting. More than forty invaders were also eliminated.

First and foremost, it was noteworthy that the tank had been able to actively maneuver, using the advantage in forward and reverse speed.
