Rheinmetall subsidiary ZMS, together with the German government, will supply the Ukrainian military with a modern field hospital.
This was reported by the press service of the company.
The total cost of a mobile modular hospital is 9 million euros. Its production and transfer are scheduled for 2023. The cost also includes staff training.
A field hospital is a combined tent and container-based system with built-in medical equipment. The company also supplies tents and necessary equipment for autarkic operations.
The system includes an emergency room, triage room, operating room, intensive care unit, computed tomography, sterilization facility and pharmacies.
There are also tents for administrative work, a waiting area and space for hospital staff.
The structure has tents with sanitary containers, transport, as well as containers for potable and non-potable water, oxygen, power generators and decontamination tents.
Zeppelin Mobile Systeme GmbH is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of customized solutions for mobile functional spaces. These spaces allow to create an environment that was previously possible only in permanent structures.
ZMS is owned by Rheinmetall International Projects and Services, which brings together the group’s resources and capabilities to support military customers, as well as warehouse, logistics and ammunition disposal.
Recall that the German government agreed to transfer 36 ambulances to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
