Retribution From the Sky: Ukrainian Armed Forces Eliminate Invaders Who Killed a Civilian in Torske Village

In the village of Torske, the Russian military shot a civilian who was riding a bicycle.

The 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, whose drone recorded the crime, said that the Russians deliberately shot the civilian and then killed him at close range.

FPV drones and Ukrainian artillery later tracked down and destroyed the war criminals.

“There was no need for a trial – instant karma worked. Our drone pilots and artillerymen eliminated all three Russians,” the military reported.

The Russian invasion army is failing to occupy the village of Torske in the Lyman territorial community of the Donetsk region.

Torske is a part of the so-called “Lyman salient” – an area that prevents the enemy from advancing to Siversk, Lyman, and Sloviansk.

The Ukrainian military liberated this village in October 2022 as part of a counteroffensive.

Control of the village opens the way to the strategically important Lyman, which is a railroad and logistics hub.

“They have repeatedly reported that they had taken Torske several times. They showed a video with several soldiers with a Russian flag. It was their momentary happiness. After that, a commission arrived and discovered that Torske had not been taken, and, accordingly, the heads of their command flew off. That’s why the task was set at the end of June to take Torske by July 1. There were indeed attempts to do so, with a huge number of infantry moving to our positions. But we did not lose our positions, and the invaders were destroyed,” the brigade noted.

The defense forces continue to take every measure to prevent the enemy from realizing their plans in the Lyman sector.

From Torske, it is possible to develop an offensive in a southern direction, putting pressure on Siversk, which the Ukrainian army holds as a key defensive line. Many forests around Torske can serve as a shelter for equipment and personnel.

For Russian propaganda, even the capture of a small village can be presented as a “great victory.” Torske is mentioned in the reports as one of the objects for which “a fierce struggle is being waged.”
