A unit of Requiem Group’s Special Operations Forces destroyed a Russian Strela-10 M3 short-range surface-to-air missile system.

A video of the destruction was published on the unit’s official Telegram page.

The Strela-10 was detected during aerial reconnaissance, which recorded a Russian air defense system camouflaged in a forest belt.

After identifying and confirming the model of the enemy vehicle, an FPV drone was launched into the air.

The first strike hit the engine, immobilizing the anti-aircraft system, and the enemy personnel were unable to leave the position.

The second drone exploded near the anti-aircraft guided missile, which disabled the system.

Today, Strela-10 missile systems are one of the main air defense assets of the Russian army. They are widely used by the Russians alongside the more technologically advanced Tor air defense systems.

Despite this, the Russian army has lost a significant number of these systems. According to estimates by the OSINT project Oryx, 51 Strela-10 systems were lost during the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war.

Russian air defense systems have also become a typical target for Ukrainian weapons, namely cannon and rocket artillery and drones of various types.

During the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, the occupying army has already lost more than 60 combat vehicles of various modifications as destroyed, abandoned, captured, and damaged.

Militarnyi previously reported that the soldiers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine had destroyed an enemy Strela-10 missile system.

After the first strikes, the crew of the combat vehicle tried to hide in the forest, but Ukrainian drones still finished off the Strela-10, which caught fire as a result of the damage.
