RADA ieMHR radars took over combat duty in Ukraine.
Israeli volunteer Natan Flayer reported about this.
These systems are manufactured by the Israeli RADA Electronic Industries.
Natan Flayer noted that Ukraine will receive a batch of 16 such radars. The first three of them have already arrived.
The radars will be used to detect and prevent Russian missile attacks.
The ieMHR radar is a tactical three-dimensional radar that is capable of detecting even small targets in the scanning area.
It provides the operator of the system with information about the position and altitude of the detected flying objects. According to the manufacturer, the radar is able to work effectively in conditions of active radio-electronic interference.
Information about a missile attack can come either through a horn or on a mobile phone.
It is worth noting that the transfer of such radars requires the approval of the Israeli Ministry of Defense.
As previously reported, the Lithuanian volunteer organization Blue/Yellow announced the transfer of the first batch of RADA ieMHR radars on Thursday.
The purchase procedures and arrangement of their shipment to Lithuania took about a month.
Funds for modern Israeli-made radars were collected under the fundraising campaign, which started on January 30 and received the Lithuanian name RADAROM! The public initiatives “Blue/Yellow”, “Laisvės TV”, “1K fondas”, and “Stiprūs kartu”, along with the Lithuanian public broadcaster LRT participated in the campaign.
