Quantum Systems to double drone production in Ukraine

German drone systems manufacturer Quantum Systems plans to double drone production in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine announced this on its official Facebook page.

During a meeting at the Munich Security Conference, the delegation of the Ministry of Strategic Industries met with Quantum Systems representatives.

The parties discussed the production of drones, acceleration of their production, and qualitative reinforcement of the Ukrainian Defense Forces with drones of our own production.

Today, localized drone assembly is already taking place in the country, and two enterprises, an R&D center and a drone maintenance and development unit, are operating.

“We strengthen our partners and help them at all stages. We are all interested in the same result – as many high-quality weapons for the Ukrainian army as possible. I thank Quantum Systems for your courage and consistency in your work. We are working together to ensure that there are more and more such companies in Ukraine,” Herman Smetanin, Minister of Strategic Industries, noted.

The localization of Quantum Systems’ drone production in Ukraine was announced at the end of August 2024. At that time, company representatives told Militarnyi that the Ukrainian Quantum Systems plant began operations in spring this year and is already producing Vector reconnaissance drones for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The company currently assembles drones from ready-made kits imported from Germany, but it is gradually localizing structural elements.

In particular, the manufacturers shared that the produced drones are equipped with wings and CRPA antennas to receive satellite signals made in Ukraine.

The company plans to start producing the fuselage and other structural elements in the future.

The company already has a Service, Support, Training and Logistics Center in Ukraine with 25 Ukrainian employees.

In addition, in 2023, the company opened a Research and Development Center in the country.
