Ukraine has codified and authorized using the Poseidon reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle system in the Defense Forces.

The Ministry of Defense reported on this.

According to the photo of the drone published on the defense ministry’s website, it is an H10 Poseidon made by Swarmly.

The Ukrainian military has already used these drones since the summer of 2022 to fight the Russian invaders.

In July, the H10 Poseidon Mk II system was purchased for the Ukrainian Air Assault Troops at the expense of volunteers from the NGO Sprava Hromadas and the Poroshenko Foundation.

The delivery of these drones continued to various units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The H10 Poseidon Mk II drones are designed for reconnaissance, surveillance, and fire control, including artillery systems.

Swarmly’s H10 Poseidon Mk II drones have an operational range of up to 150 kilometers and an altitude of up to 4,000 meters. The cruising speed is 75 km/h. They are equipped with EW protection, Israeli optics, and a thermal imaging camera.

The UAV is designed as a high-wing monocoque airframe with an electric motor and pushing propeller, as well as four stationary mounted electric motors for vertical takeoff and landing.

This type of propulsion system is used not only for takeoff, landing, and hovering in the air but also for emergency landing during the flight instead of using an emergency parachute.

The drone works even without satellite communication, flies quietly, and does not leave a heat trail.

Militarnyi previously reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces received new Shield AI MQ-35A V-BAT drones. Later, it was reported that the American manufacturer had opened an office in Kyiv to provide full support for the Ukrainian fleet of these drones.
