In Poland, charges have been brought against a Belarusian citizen who wanted to cooperate with the Belarusian KGB and carry out sabotage on the territory of the European Union.
This was reported by RMF FM.
Investigators established that in December 2024, in Warsaw, Belarusian Artem K. declared his readiness to act on behalf of the Belarusian special services against Poland.
The man wanted to participate in sabotage operations in Poland and other European Union countries.
He also claimed that he could conduct reconnaissance activities.
It is alleged that Artem K. had offered to provide the Belarusian State Security Committee (KGB) with information on the location of critical infrastructure and Belarusians residing in the country.
The Polish Internal Security Agency (ABW) detained the Belarusian in December 2024. He gave explanations but did not admit his guilt.
The man was accused of a failed attempt to report his readiness to act on behalf of foreign intelligence against the Republic of Poland and was taken into custody.
The indictment in the case of Artem K. has already been sent to the district court in Białystok. He faces up to eight years in prison.
Last month, Poland also charged a Colombian citizen with terrorism for setting fire to two construction warehouses in 2024 on behalf of Russian intelligence.
Polish special services stated that the suspect had allegedly received detailed instructions via Telegram regarding the targets of the attack and how to carry it out, including how to make Molotov cocktails and use transport.
In June 2025, a Czech court sentenced the same Colombian to eight years in prison for arson at a bus depot in Prague and planning to set fire to a shopping center.
He pleaded guilty. According to the Czech prime minister, Russian intelligence was also involved in these actions.
