The video shows that the fire has engulfed the roof of the Russian plant.

At about 1 a.m., Aleksey Smirnov, acting governor of the Kursk region, confirmed the fire at the plant and said it was allegedly caused by a “Ukrainian drone” dropping an “explosive device” on the territory of the enterprise.

“None of the employees were injured. Firefighters from two districts are extinguishing the fire in one of the process shops,” he wrote on Telegram.

The fire covered an area of 400 square meters. The workers were reportedly evacuated before the firefighters arrived.

In the morning, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that air defense systems had allegedly shot down one drone over the Kursk region at night.
