P-275 is the second serial Project 03160 Raptor boat launched for factory sea trials on June 17, 2014. On March 5, 2015, it was accepted into the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation to the detachment of special forces and means of the Novorossiysk naval base.

The Raptor-class boats are a series of high-speed coastal patrol boats. This project was developed by the JSC Leningrad Shipyard Pella design bureau. It was based on Swedish CombatBoat 90 multi-purpose boats and is actually a licensed version of the Swedish boat.

The boats are designed for patrolling coastal water areas (bays, estuaries, river mouths) and water areas of naval bases, conducting search and rescue operations, landing in coastal zones of seas, straits, and river mouths in daylight and darkness.

It is also supposed to cover the surface situation intercepting small-sized high-speed targets and delivering or evacuating groups of special forces and marines.

It was previously reported that the number of Project 03160 Raptor high-speed patrol boats lost by the Russian Black Sea Fleet in May might have reached 5 units.

In total, according to open data, Russia has built 17 such boats. 7 of those were serving in the Black Sea Fleet.
