Petro Poroshenko has sent electronic warfare systems and drones to the Defense Forces in the Pokrovsk sector.
The Ukrainian MP said that the new batch of aid also included ATVs capable of evacuating the wounded.
In total, the Defense Forces will receive 1,800 FPV drones, Mavic, 15 ATVs, trench electronic warfare equipment and charging stations.
“Last week we were in Pokrovsk and now we are going to Pokrovsk again. These are 15 ATVs, they are very effective. That’s why we have equipped everything we could buy and are urgently going to Pokrovsk,” Poroshenko said.
FPV drones from this batch have undergone modernization, which should increase protection against Russian electronic warfare systems.
“We have installed a board that changes frequencies so that Russian electronic warfare systems cannot stop our FPVs,” said the MP.
Low-frequency electronic warfare equipment is also being brought to the front. It is stated that the new antenna allows electronic warfare equipment to operate in the low frequency range.
“Those who have already received electronic warfare equipment from us before, and these are dozens of units, will be equipped with such low-frequency antennas,” Poroshenko added.
Two years ago, it was unthinkable to the military that electronic warfare (EW) equipment would need to be installed in nearly every pickup truck or carried in a backpack.
The emergence of FPV drones made us rethink this technology. It has just become clear that the only way to stop an enemy drone is to cut off its communication with the operator.
Ukraine and Russia are now actively trying to develop as many electronic warfare systems as possible and at the same time find weaknesses in the systems.
As Militarnyi reported previously, soldiers from the 10th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recently received almost 100 electronic warfare devices.
