Three Bayraktar TB2 drones, which were the object of Serhiy Prytula’s fundraising campaign, have already arrived in Ukraine.
Serhiy Prytula announced this on his Facebook page.
He also published a video capturing the Turkish-made multi-purpose combat drones, which have the inscription “People’s Bayraktar” on their fuselage.
Drones are now being dispatched to combat duty and will be assisting the Armed Forces of Ukraine in detecting and neutralizing Russian invaders and their military equipment.
“We have done what we dreamed of! We received what our Army needs.
But in fact, this is just the first step… first of all, for our enemies. And they won’t like it!
“People’s Bayraktars” are assuming the combat duty!” Serhiy Prytula concluded.
Previously, the Turkish company Baykar Makina announced that these three Bayraktar TB2 drones were already in Ukraine.
In addition, the agreement assumed that the videos shot by these drones during the combat missions will also be marked as “People’s Bayraktar.”
On June 22, Serhiy Prytula and blogger Igor Lachenkov announced a fundraising campaign to purchase three Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 drones for the Ukrainian military, which is defending against the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation.
The plan was to raise 500 million hryvnias over the course of a week. However, the Ukrainians managed to collect more funds, namely 600 million hryvnias. At the same time, instead of the announced seven days, the campaign goal was reached within three days.
On June 27, Baykar announced that it would transfer those three Bayraktar drones to Ukraine for free.
