Paratroopers of the Defense Forces have liberated a number of settlements in the Zaporizhia region.

Today, on March 31st, the Command of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that the paratroopers along with the other Defense Forces of Zaporizhzhia units have liberated the following settlements from the russian occupation: Zatyshshya, Malynivka, Vesele, Zelenyi Hai and Chervone.

The military noted that the real situation at the battlefield today demonstrates that the Ukrainian soldiers are fighting for every piece of our sacred land, for every one of our people.

During the battles, the Ukrainian forces have also destroyed a number of russian armored vehicles.

These include, in particular, an armored vehicle of unspecified type, as well as a rather rare modification of the MT-LBM 6MB light caterpillar conveyor, armed with a similar combat module from the BTR-82A with a 30-mm gun and automatic grenade launcher and machine gun.

“This is of extreme importance for the soldiers of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine because the main quality of every paratrooper is the ability to perform the most difficult tasks in extreme conditions. The Ukrainian paratrooper is synonymous with such concepts as honor, dignity, loyalty to duty, and victory, ” reads the statement of the Command of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As reported earlier, in Zaporizhzhia region, the russians suffered losses in personnel and equipment.

A russian BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle was destroyed near Huliaipole.

In the liberated settlement of Malinivka, the russian modernized BTR-82A armored personnel carrier had been destroyed.

In addition, russian soldiers were killed in several districts of Zaporizhzhia.
