P1-SUN Downed a Russian Shahed Jet Drone in a Christmas Night Attack

On Christmas Eve, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a Russian Shahed jet drone.

A P1-SUN drone developed by the Ukrainian defense tech company SkyFall conducted the attack.

The released video shows the moment of defeat: the interceptor reaches the high-speed target and destroys it in flight.

This is a Shahed jet modification capable of exceeding a speed of 500 km/h. This is significantly higher than the performance of classic strike UAVs of this type.

The P1-SUN is designed to combat such aerial targets.

The drone has a modular design, with its body made via 3D printing. The company already produces thousands of such drones per month.

Initially, the P1-Sun could accelerate to 300 km/h, but the developers have already increased this figure by 50%. The drone is able to climb to a height of 5 km.
