Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops fired on 12 settlements in the Donetsk region.

The National Police of the Donetsk region reported this.

Over 40 houses, a school, a music school, an institute, businesses, and critical infrastructure were destroyed.

Six people died and ten were injured.

The enemy hit the settlements of Bakhmut, Soledar, Avdiivka, Sviatohirsk, Mykolaivka, Toretsk, Zalizne, Raihorodok, Lastochkyne, Pervomaisk, Yarova, and Sil.

The enemy was firing on civilians from aircraft, tanks, heavy artillery, and Grad multiple rocket launchers.

According to the law enforcement officers, two men were killed as a result of the shelling of the city of Mykolaivka in the Kramatorsk district – one was in his own courtyard, and another one was near the house. Two more were injured.

It is noted that about ten residential buildings were damaged, and two of them were destroyed.

In the town of Lyman, three people were killed by a direct hit, and another was fatally wounded in Avdiivka.

Law enforcement officers documented the crimes of the Russian military. Criminal proceedings were launched under Article 438 (Violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal code of Ukraine.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes that the enemy is trying to break through the defenses of units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine and reach the administrative borders of the Luhansk region.

On the Sievierodonetsk front, Russian troops deployed artillery and mortars to fire on the positions of the Ukrainian troops along the entire front line, focusing the main forces on the areas around Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk.

On the Bakhmut front, the enemy tried to improve its tactical positions in and around Trypillia, Lypove, and Vasylivka.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian forces suffered losses near Krasnohorivka. Enemy forces conducted an assault operation in Mariyinka, yet was not successful.

Soldiers of the Ukrainian Defense Forces holding their positions in the Luhansk region recorded a video address to the Ukrainian people and comrades-in-arms. The servicemen spoke about the state of supply of weapons and everything needed to continue the defense.
