On the morning of Tuesday, October 29, a drone attacked the Russian Special Forces University in Chechnya.
Ramzan Kadyrov, Head of the occupied region appointed by Russia, reported this, and a photo was published on Telegram channels.
This was the first attack by an attack UAV on the territory of the Chechen Republic in the Russian Federation. However, it is currently unknown who launched the drone and what type of drone it was.
At 6:30 a.m. local time, the Russian Special Forces University in Gudermes was hit. As a result, the roof of one of the buildings on the institution’s territory caught fire.
It is stated that the building was allegedly empty. There are no known casualties or injuries.
Kadyrov wrote on a Telegram that the investigating authorities were investigating the incident and identifying those involved.
The Russian Special Forces University is the first and only private educational institution in Russia to provide professional training for special forces.
It was founded on August 1, 2013, at the suggestion of the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, in Gudermes as an international training center for special forces. In August 2017, it was renamed the Russian Special Forces University.
According to the aggressor country’s media, in April 2022, a training center for soldiers to be sent to war against Ukraine was opened on its base.
On October 27, drones attacked an alcohol factory in the village of Krasnoye in the Voronezh region of Russia.
This enterprise is one of the most powerful in Russia, and in 2021, it was modernized for a total of RUB 1 billion, or about $10 million.
It built its own thermal power plant, external storage tanks, a workshop for processing grain into raw materials for alcohol, etc. The company works mainly for Russian government orders.
