On the night of May 14, the invaders attacked the territory of Ukraine with Shahed-136/131 drones, Kalibr missiles, and Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles launched from Tu-95MS strategic bomber.
The Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
“During the night attack, 3 cruise missiles and 25 unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed,” the report said.
It was clarified that Ukrainian forces destroyed 18 Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones, as well as one Lancet UAV and two Orlan-10 reconnaissance drones, and the type of four more UAVs is still being clarified.
Warehouses belonging to commercial enterprises and a religious organization were hit during the night attack in Ternopil. A fire broke out on the scene.
The regional administration reported that two civilians received shrapnel injuries. They were taken to the hospital.
Also, at 5:00 a.m., Volodymyr Trush, Head of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration, reported the hit of the cruise missiles.
“Rescuers arrived at the scene and recorded the destruction of two and damage to twelve country houses. The fire that broke out on the scene was immediately extinguished,” he added.
Commercial and economic facilities and nine trucks were also damaged by missile wreckage. No casualties have been reported.
In addition, a rocket attack was carried out against Kharkiv and the village of Zolochiv, Bohodukhiv district, Kharkiv region. Russian troops likely used the S-300 air defense system.
A transport infrastructure facility, a dormitory building, and an apartment building were damaged in the regional center.
Two missiles hit the ground between residential buildings in Zolochiv. A window was broken, and two garages were destroyed as a result of the strike, with no casualties reported.
As previously reported, May 13 was a “black day” for Russian aviation – the invaders lost four aircraft at once.
