Operators of the 3rd Assault Detachment of the “Omega” Special Operations Center of the National Guard of Ukraine conducted a night assault on a building in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The NGU Commander Oleksandr Pivnenko reported on this.
“In one of the settlements, Russians occupied the basement of a completely destroyed building. A combat group of the “Omega” Special Operations Center was sent to do the job. The enemy did not expect our guys to come so close,” the statement reads.
Due to the precise and coordinated actions of aerial reconnaissance, assault aircraft, and fire support, the special forces approached the building and threw grenades into its basement.
The remnants of the enemy infantry that tried to escape were destroyed by small arms.
Militarnyi previously reported that the Ukrainian military managed to detect and strike the Russian Leer-3 electronic warfare system in the Zaporizhzha direction.
The drone of the LUFTWAFFE unit of the 129th Territorial Defense Brigade detected and adjusted fire at the EW system.
The American HIMARS rocket launcher needed only one projectile to hit the invaders’ position with this system.
On April 3, it was reported that Ukrainian forces managed to detect and destroy a Buk SAM in the Zaporizhzhia region.
To reconnoiter the Russian position, a Kabul 9 Special Purpose Unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, established at the beginning of the large-scale Russian invasion, was involved.
The unit’s soldiers managed to detect the Russian air defense system near the village of Velyka Bilozerka.
Ukrainian intelligence officers used the reconnaissance drone to adjust the artillery fire that hit the system.
