Donetsk, a city temporarily occupied by the Russians, experienced several explosions tonight. A massive fire started afterwards.
A video of the fire was released by eyewitnesses on social media.
The Russian invaders claim that the Ukrainian servicemen struck an oil depot.
According to Russian propagandists, local fuel and lubricant tankers were set on fire.
Local residents heard loud and powerful explosions at first and then saw a large-scale fire at the oil depot.
The video of the fire was released on the Telegram channel “Typical Donetsk“.
According to the channel, the fire occurred in the Budioniv district of Donetsk.
“Fire can be seen from several districts of the city – the flames are a few dozen meters high. Tanks containing fuel and lubricants are on fire,” Russian media reported.
The invaders claim that the fire occurred after the Armed Forces of Ukraine shelling.
So far, the Ukrainian servicemen have not confirmed the shelling and are yet to officially comment on this event in any way.
On July 5, there were reports of exploding ammunition in occupied Donetsk and an open fire at an invaders’ depot.
According to the eyewitnesses, one of the largest Russian military depots on the territory of Donetsk was blown up.
