An oil depot in Adler, a district of Sochi in Russia, caught fire overnight following a drone strike.
The Head of the Administration of the Sirius Federal Territory confirmed the incident.
According to his statement, the blaze broke out at the facility after an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) hit the site.
“There was a strike on the oil depot on Tavriyskaya Street. I ask everyone to refrain from driving or walking in that area. I will provide updates on any important developments,” Dmytro Plishkin wrote on Telegram.
Earlier, he had reported that Russian air defense systems were active in the Adler area.

The Lukoil-Yugnefteprodukt oil depot, likely responsible for supplying fuel to Sochi International Airport, is located on Tavriyskaya Street.
In the early hours of Thursday, July 24, eyewitnesses in the Russian city of Sochi, including those in Adler, captured videos showing the flight of fixed-wing strike drones, the operation of Russian air defense systems, and powerful explosions followed by fires.
To fight off the drone attack, Russian forces used not only small arms but also S-300/400 surface-to-air systems, attempting to intercept the UAVs with missiles flying directly over residential buildings.
