A video of the launch of the French AASM-250 guided bomb by a Ukrainian fighter has appeared online.
This was reported by Militarnyi.
In the published video, a Ukrainian fighter jet can be seen releasing a bomb from one of the left-wing hardpoints during the flight.
Additionally, during a detailed review, similar ammunition installed under the right-wing console can be noticed.
It’s worth recalling that the first confirmed use of guided bombs of this type appeared on March 5, 2024.
At that time, a video was published showing an AASM-250 guided bomb with the inscription “For the children of Odesa. With hate, with no respect.”
The first information about the use of these munitions emerged in late February and early March 2024.
Subsequently, in a published video from the ‘LUFTWAFFE’ unit, there was clarification on the type of munition that struck the Russians on the territory of the Avdiivka Coke Plant.
It’s worth recalling that in early January 2024, French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced the start of deliveries of unspecified missile weapons to Ukraine.
Later, it was revealed that among the weapons, in addition to the SCALP-EG cruise missiles, were precision-guided AASM aircraft bombs.
As reported by Militarnyi in early April 2024, the Ukrainian Air Force targeted Russian positions in Tonenke with the French AASM-250 HAMMER bomb.
The arrival of the aviation bomb was documented by the occupiers themselves in the occupied village in the Donetsk region.
