In the Zaporizhzhia region, a Ukrainian NEMESIS heavy attack drone destroyed a Russian TOR air defense system.
The 412th Unmanned Systems Battalion stated that the Russian system had first been detected by the 14th Separate Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Regiment.
Then, a NEMESIS attack drone was sent to destroy the anti-aircraft missile system.
The heavy attack drone had to drop at least 4 rounds of munitions on the Russian Tor-M2 air defense system.
At the same time, the Russian air defense system initially reacted.
The Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile system is designed to engage aircraft, missiles and drones at medium and low altitudes.
However, this time, the Russian air defense system failed to detect the Ukrainian drone and shoot it down.
“This is the result of the coordinated work of our operators, which inflicts millions of losses on the enemy and opens the airspace for further operations of the Ukrainian Defense Forces,” the military representatives explained.
In recent years, the term “Baba Yaga” has become part of the occupiers’ lexicon, and it is used to describe the Ukrainian heavy drone NEMESIS.
To ensure uninterrupted communication, Nemesis was equipped with Starlink satellite communication terminals.
The use of Starlink allowed us to overcome the limitations of conventional communication and provided a wide range of possibilities.
At the planned point of drop, the camera is lowered perpendicular to the ground, and in the dark, it has a good view of the Russian positions with equipment. The operator then has to press the button to drop munitions, which effectively destroy the Russian equipment.
