Ukrainian enterprises which are strategically important for defense and a number of other private companies will be forcibly transferred under state property.
This is reported by the Economichna Pravda.
Interlocutors of the publication at the National Securities and Stock Market Commission (NSSMC) have announced that on November 6, the NSSMC made a decision to ensure the compulsory alienation of shares of Motor Sich Joint Stock Company and PJSC AvtoKrAZ into state ownership.
The regulator allowed the write-off of the shares of the mentioned enterprises from the accounts of private individuals to the property of the state.
It is currently unknown whether the transfer of shares will be compensated to their former owners and minority shareholders.
Motor Sich Joint Stock Company is engaged in the development, production, repair and maintenance of aviation gas turbine engines for airplanes and helicopters, as well as industrial gas turbine installations.
Until recently, the owner of Motor Sich Joint Stock Company was Viacheslav Bohuslaev, detained by the SSU in October of 2022 as part of criminal proceedings regarding the illegal supply of military goods for Russian attack aircraft. Subsequently, the SSU released evidence of the collaborationist’s cooperation with Russian defense enterprises.
The invaders were using the items obtained from Motor Sich to produce and repair the Russian attack Mi-8AMTSh-VN Sapsan helicopters, as well as attack Ka-52 Alligator and Mi-28N Night Hunter.
PJSC AvtoKrAZ is the country’s only manufacturer of heavy trucks and one of the main suppliers of cargo transport for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The company is part of the “Finance and Credit” group of fugitive oligarch Kostyantyn Zhevago.
As previously reported, PJSC AvtoKrAZ failed the contract of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2021. A similar situation had repeated several years before.
In 2018, one of these contracts failed as part of the State Defense Order, but in order to save the company from bankruptcy, PJSC AvtoKrAZ received a new order from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
In January 2022, the Kremenchug Automobile Plant (KrAZ) handed over a batch of truck tractors for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was also reported that officials of the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine were studying the possibilities of resuming the work of KrAZ for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
