New air defence systems have arrived in Ukraine.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov announced this.
This regards the NASAMS air defense systems from the USA and the ASPIDE anti-aircraft missile system from Spain.
“These weapons will significantly strengthen the Ukrainian army and make our skies safer. We will continue to shoot down the enemy targets attacking us. Thank you to our partners: Norway, Spain and the US,” Reznikov wrote.

Ukraine expected the arrival of two batteries of NASAMS air defense systems in early November. At the end of October, it became known that the manufacturer Raytheon Technologies had handed over to the US government two NASAMS SAMs intended for Ukraine.
These are the first two of eight batteries of NASAMS air defense systems that are to be transferred to Ukraine from partners.
NASAMS SAM is produced by a consortium of the American corporation Raytheon Technologies and the Norwegian group Kongsberg.
The system includes launchers and Raytheon AN/MPQ-64F1 Sentinel radar stations from the Raytheon and Kongsberg consortium.
Raytheon is responsible for supplying AIM-120 AMRAAM medium-range air-to-air missiles for this system, and Kongsberg is a supplier of launchers.
Each mobile launcher is equipped with six containers with anti-aircraft missiles. SAM is in service or has been delivered to 12 countries.
The range of the NASAMS II anti-aircraft system configuration using AIM-120С AMRAAM missiles is up to 25 km, and the reach in altitude is up to 14-15 km.
Ukraine received the ASPIDE air defense system from Spain. It was reported that the Defense Forces of Ukraine would receive a battery of this system and missiles for it.
The Spada Aspide ground-based anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) is also known as Skyguard Aspide. This is a joint Italian-Swiss development.
It was designed in the course of modifying the Aspide missile for its use on land platforms. The missile system is mounted on the American RIM-7E Sea Sparrow.
The missile is equipped with a semi-active radar.
The radius of action reaches 35 km. The height of hitting the targets is 8,000 m. The flight speed is 1,324 m/s, while the weight of the warhead is 30 kg.
Ukraine is also awaiting a delivery of Hawk anti-aircraft missile systems from Spain. Italy and France are expected to transfer the STAMP-T system. The French government has announced the transfer of Crotale air defense systems to Ukraine as well.
