More than 100 invaders were killed at once near Soledar.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
This was possible due to the coordinated effort of the soldiers of the Special Operations Forces, artillery, and rocket forces.
The video published by the military recorded one of the stages of artillery working against given coordinates.
According to the military, operators of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine discovered the concentration of the enemy in several locations around Soledar.
Artillery was directed to defeat the enemy. A Tochka-U tactical missile system was also used in one location.
“It is confirmed that as a result of these multiple strikes, over 100 invaders, 2 machine gun crews, and 2 mortar crews were killed,” the statement says.
The day before, Ukrainian border guards discussed their work in Soledar. As part of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, units of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine actively carry out combat missions in the Bakhmut direction.
At the beginning of January, the border guards, together with the units of one of the mechanized brigades, restrained the enemy offensive near Soledar. During one of the offensives of the Russian invaders, aerial reconnaissance of the State Border Service of Ukraine detected the movement of an enemy infantry group.
The military reported information on the enemy’s movement to the command post of the Defense Forces of Ukraine and monitored the enemy’s actions in real-time.
When approaching the positions of the Ukrainian defenders, the invaders came under crossfire. Bullets of large-caliber machine guns of the Armed Forces of Ukraine pressed them to the ground.
Ukrainian gunners completed their work. An accurate strike, which was also corrected by the drone of the border guards, destroyed the invaders, who managed to avoid machine gun fire.
