Ukraine’s security and defense forces strike a Russian plane over the Black Sea.

The Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reported that the encounter took place in the territorial waters of Ukraine near Zmiinyi Island.

The intelligence officers added that the incident took place near the drilling platforms of the so-called “Boyko towers” (Ukrainian politician Yuriy Boyko – Ed.).

A Russian military aircraft and Ukrainian military boats collided near the platforms.

The invaders’ aircraft attempted to attack the military vessels of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine.

“The enemy propaganda spread a fake about the alleged damage and sinking of a Ukrainian boat. In fact, a Russian missile fell into the water,” the Defence Intelligence noted.

It is noted that no harm was done to the Ukrainian military.

In response to the attempted attack, Ukrainian servicemen launched a strike at the invaders’ plane.

“A missile fired from a Ukrainian warship damaged the Russian aircraft,” the intelligence officers reported.

The plane was then forced to immediately leave the scene and fly toward the nearest airfield.

The released video captured the Ukrainian forces on a boat launching a missile from a man-portable air defense system. The Ukrainian reconnaissance drone observed the incident and was likely used to coordinate the actions of the Defense Forces in this operation near the platforms.

In 2021, the United States armed the Ukrainian forces with Willard Sea Force speedboats, which could have been used in this operation.
