The MiG-31 fighter-interceptor crashed in the Primorsky Krai.
It is reported that the plane’s crew managed to eject.
According to Russian media, the MiG-31 crashed immediately after taking off from the air base. It fell in a forest massif near the settlement of Alekseevka. The condition of the Russian pilots is currently being investigated.
It should be noted that this is already the third known accident of Russian combat aircraft in recent times.
On October 17, a Su-34 fighter-bomber crashed into a multi-story residential building in Yeysk, killing 15 people.
On October 23, a Su-30 fighter aircraft crashed into a wooden residential building in Irkutsk, killing both Russian pilots, and the residents of the building were not injured.
On October 9, a Su-24 attack aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces crashed in the Rostov region. The incident took place at about 11 am in the Morozovsky district.
Due to the crash, the dry vegetation ignited. The plane suffered significant damage.
