The United States has prohibited the United Kingdom from sharing intelligence with Ukraine sourced from US intelligence.
British tabloid, the Daily Mail, reported this information.
The newspaper reports that, in addition to Donald Trump’s suspension of military aid to Kyiv, all UK intelligence agencies and military establishments have received explicit instructions prohibiting the transfer of US-sourced intelligence to Ukraine.
This applies to information labeled “Rel UKR,” which is an abbreviation for “Releasable to Ukraine.”
The tabloid points out that since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the UK and other Western partners, such as Australia and New Zealand, have been sharing intelligence with Ukraine.
Washington has reportedly ordered a halt to the transfer of intelligence to Ukraine until further notice.
The ban affects organizations such as the British Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), as well as intelligence agencies and units within the Ministry of Defense.
On Tuesday, March 4, it was reported that US President Donald Trump ordered the suspension of all U.S. military aid to Ukraine.
This decision affects both weapons that were agreed upon for shipment during the Biden administration but have not yet been delivered and those already en route to the Ukrainian border from the United States.
ABC News reports that about 90% of the military aid packages allocated to Ukraine under the Biden administration’s Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA) have already been delivered, citing two U.S. officials familiar with the matter.
Most of the remaining defense aid consists of armored vehicles that require more time to restore.
Finally, all the weapons previously issued under the PDA are to be delivered to Ukraine by August 2025.
