The Ministry of Defense of Luxembourg has released the entire list of defense assistance provided to Ukraine.
The department also noted that December 2 marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Luxembourg.
This year, Luxembourg has sent €75 million military aid to Ukraine.
“That’s 16% of our 2022 defence budget. We support Ukraine in its right to self-defence,” the ministry said.
According to the list, Luxembourg sent 28 HMMWV vehicles with 20 12.7 mm machine guns to the Ukrainian military. Previously, their number in the Armed Forces of Ukraine was unknown.
Also the list of assistance includes:
With the help of transferred 3D scanners, it is possible to scan large areas and collect evidence of Russian war crimes.
Due to these 3D scanners, investigators will be able to scan mass burials in minutes.
“It is not only a scanner, there is an internal software that allows users to scan large areas with all the objects found there. Information is then processed by a computer, which is extremely important and ensures that war crimes are uncovered. This project costs us €1.3 million, but I think it is worth it. This will really help Ukraine a lot,” Luxembourg Defense Minister François Bausch said.
In addition, the Luxembourg army will take part in the EU EUMAM Ukraine training mission, which aims to improve the training of 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers.
The Luxembourg government has yet to adopt the relevant regulation on this matter.
Luxembourg has also frozen €5.5 billion of assets of Russian individuals and legal entities, which is about a third of all Russian assets blocked on the territory of the European Union.
