The Lithuanian Navy handed over radar equipment to Ukraine.

The Lithuanian Defense Ministry reported that the kits were handed over to the Ukrainian Navy.

Radar equipment kits are designed to provide maritime surveillance and develop the ability to understand the marine environment.

This equipment was transferred with consideration of the needs and requests of the Ukrainian Navy.

“For war-torn Ukraine, these radars will be important both to protect its territorial waters and to ensure the safety of its citizens,” Arvydas Anušauskas, Minister of National Defense, said.

In addition to the ongoing donation of military equipment and hardware, Lithuania also actively trains Ukrainian soldiers, provides treatment and rehabilitation for Ukrainians, organizes expert consultations, and allocates funds from international funds to support Ukraine.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense reported that Lithuania has already drawn up a long-term support plan.

“A military aid package for Ukraine worth €200 million is planned for 2024-2026,” the statement announced.

As previously reported, Ukraine has been assisted by radar stations from various countries.

In May of this year, Israeli RADA ieMHR radars took over combat duty in Ukraine. Ukraine will receive a batch of 16 such radars.

Japan will reinforce Ukraine with radar stations to help fight Russian drones.

The Netherlands allocates funds for the purchase of VERA-NG radar systems for Ukraine.
