This week, the Lithuanian government will hand over 4,500 drones to Ukraine, which are also being purchased for its own Armed Forces.

The Minister of Defense of Lithuania reported about this on the X network.

The drones that will be transferred to Ukraine are manufactured by Lithuanian companies Dangolakis, RSI Europe, Ltmiltech, Granta Autonomy and Unmanned Defense Systems.

The drones will be delivered in a fully assembled form, which will reduce the time of transfer to combat units and preparation for flight.

Prior to the purchase, the Ministry of Defense conducted the tests of Lithuanian combat drones in Ukraine in conditions as close to combat as possible.

The Defense Minister also noted that at its last meeting, the government had approved a new accelerated procedure for the transfer of state property.

“These changes will significantly reduce the time required for the procedures, ensuring that aid will arrive in Ukraine quickly,” she said.

In addition to Ukraine, more than 2,300 drones will be delivered to the Lithuanian Armed Forces. The purchase is worth €3 million.

Militarnyi previously reported that Ukraine would receive 30,000 FPV drones from the UK and other NATO member states.

30,000 drones will be sent to Ukraine after £45 million worth of contracts were placed by the International Drone Capability Coalition, co-led by the UK and Latvia as the UK steps up leadership supporting Ukraine in 2025.

Funding for the new 30,000 drones comes from the UK, Denmark, Netherlands, Latvia and Sweden.

These state-of-the-art, first-person view drones will help Ukraine fight against Russian aggression, allowing Ukraine’s Armed Forces to manoeuvre past Russian air defences to target enemy positions and armoured vehicles.
