Lithuania has sent a new batch of military aid to support the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The Lithuanian Ministry of Defense reported on this.
The next tranche includes ammunition and ammunition for small arms, as well as trailers for the transportation of tracked vehicles.
The Lithuanian Defense Ministry clarified that the batch of aid would arrive in Ukraine that week.
“We have been helping, are helping and will continue to help in the fight against the aggressor. Whatever is needed,” the Lithuanian Defense Ministry emphasized.
The previous military aid package, which included spare parts for M113 tracked armored personnel carriers, weapons and ammunition, was delivered in the second half of November.
It is noted that in response to Ukraine’s requests that year, Lithuania had already supplied 155mm ammunition and M113 armored personnel carriers.
The aid package included counter-drone systems, equipment and warm clothing sets necessary for the winter season, and ammunition for Carl Gustaf anti-tank weapon systems.
In addition, the Ukrainian military received RISE-1 remote initiation systems, generators, forklifts, trailers with folding beds, and more.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Lithuania has provided Ukraine with military assistance worth more than €721 million.
Previously, the Lithuanian Defense Ministry said that the government’s support for Ukraine in 2025 would include lethal and non-lethal aid, contributions to funds, training and rehabilitation of soldiers, and expert advice.
In November, it was reported that Lithuania would soon transfer the first tranche to support Ukrainian weapons for strikes deep into Russian territory. This is a long-term agreement under which funding of €10 million has already been agreed. These funds will be used to produce long-range weapons, including the Ukrainian project Palianytsia.
