Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Lithuania has transferred 50 M113 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine.

The Minister of Defense of Lithuania Arvydas Anušauskas reported about this, LRT writes.

“Lithuania has provided support to Ukraine and will continue to do so. Just three days ago, our APCs that we handed over already arrived in Ukraine, and now the number of M113 armored personnel carriers handed over to Ukraine is 50,” he said.

Arvydas Anušauskas emphasized that approximately in November, Lithuania should receive American JLTV armored vehicles to replace the handed over M113s.

It became known about the next transfer of armored personnel carriers from Lithuania to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in mid-September. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielius Landsbergis, said that the country is preparing two batches of armored personnel carriers for Ukraine.

Before that, Lithuania had already transferred armored vehicles to Ukraine.

The country also took the Ukrainian PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers for repair. The Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers will presumably be repaired at the Lithuania Defense Services (“LDS”).

This repair and maintenance of military equipment service was created in June 2022 by the German Rheinmetall and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. The enterprise is located in the central part of Lithuania.

The enterprise was established for the logistical support of combat vehicles of the Armed Forces of Lithuania along with the armored vehicles of contingents of other NATO countries stationed on the territory of the Baltic States.

The modern maintenance and logistics center takes up a space of about 12,000 square meters.

The enterprise is capable to service Boxer and PUMA armored vehicles, Bergepanzer armored repair and evacuation vehicles, various versions of Leopard-2 tanks, and 155-mm Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers.

In October-November, Ukraine will receive 37 kamikaze drones from Lithuania. The Lithuanians acquired these drones as part of the Legion of Boom campaign.
