Lithuania has handed over a new military aid package to Ukraine, which is necessary to counter the Russian invasion.
The Lithuanian Ministry of National Defense reported on this.
The Ministry said that wheel loaders, trailers and folding beds had been sent to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In August, Ukraine will receive a total of 14 M113 tracked armored personnel carriers, short-range air defense systems with missiles, and drone jamming systems from Lithuania.
In addition, electronic warfare systems, all-terrain vehicles with spare parts, cargo trailers, 20-ton telescopic loaders, wheel loaders, rifles, ammunition, smoke munitions, gun accessories and spare parts for weapons will be provided to the Defense Forces.
The previous Lithuanian military aid package for Ukraine, which was provided in July, included ammunition for 5.56×45 mm rifles, anti-drone rifles, and military auxiliary equipment, including folding beds.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Lithuania has provided Ukraine with military assistance worth more than €641 million.
Lithuania’s overall support for Ukraine is long-term and has exceeded €1 billion.
The country has been supplying 155 mm ammunition, M577 and M113 armored vehicles free of charge.
As well as drone jamming systems, grenade launchers and ammunition for infantry weapons and other equipment and ammunition.
In June, a batch of tracked armored vehicles arrived in Ukraine to strengthen the demining capabilities of the Ukrainian Defense Forces as part of Lithuania’s contribution to the Coalition for Demining.
As previously reported, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine tested Lithuanian-made FPV drones in conditions as close to combat as possible.
