Lithuania launches a special rehabilitation program for Ukrainian soldiers.
The press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported on this.
It is reported that the Lithuanian authorities have allocated about €15 million to Ukraine. These funds will be used directly to reconstruct hospitals and train specialists.
“Today, Lithuania is launching a special rehabilitation program for wounded Ukrainian soldiers. We will contribute to the development of the relevant infrastructure and services of the three Baltic countries in Lviv, Dnipro, and Zhytomyr,” Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonite shared.
Militarnyi previously reported that the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense transferred a new batch of military aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This primarily refers to the transfer of counter-drone systems, generators, and folding beds.
The aid has already been delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine: it was transferred directly to the military.
On April 6, it was reported that Lithuania continues providing military aid to Ukraine and recently transferred М577 Command Post Vehicles to Ukraine. Command Post Vehicles are designed to provide radio communications, command, and control of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
Militarnyi previously reported that Lithuania joined the Czech initiative to purchase artillery ammunition for Ukraine and has allocated a corresponding financial package to support this effort.
Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonite stated that the government had allocated €35 million within a Czech initiative to purchase artillery ammunition.
Lithuania has thus become one of more than 15 countries to join this initiative, which will speed up the procurement and delivery of the shells to Ukraine.
Due to Lithuania’s participation, the full amount needed for the purchase of more than a million artillery shells, which Ukraine is to receive in April, has been raised.
