The Lasar’s Group Special Operations Detachment destroyed a Russian TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower system.
According to the unit’s official Telegram channel, the system was detected while actively being used to attack positions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
The system was detected by aerial reconnaissance of the 32nd Mechanized Brigade. After the coordinates were confirmed, the location data was passed to the external pilots of Lasar’s Group’s heavy unmanned aerial vehicles, who carried out a strike and destroyed the Russian system.
The Russian system was hit while on the move by a precise munition drop, which brought the vehicle to a halt.
The pilots then used more than ten additional munitions to finish it off, ultimately causing a fire and the complete destruction of the system.
Russian forces actively use the TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower system to strike lightly armored vehicles and personnel, as well as to destroy engineering and fortified structures.
According to the OSINT project Oryx, since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Ukraine’s Defense Forces have destroyed, damaged, or captured more than 35 TOS-1A systems. Of these, over 24 were destroyed, 6 damaged, and 3 captured.
Militarnyi previously reported that in November 2025, UAV operators of the 63rd Mechanized Brigade destroyed a Russian TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower system in the Lyman direction.
