Ukrainian drones destroyed an entire battery of BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket systems in the Pokrovsk sector.
According to the National Guard’s Lasar’s Group unit, the battery consisted of six launchers.
Russian forces regularly use MLRS in this area to target Ukrainian military positions.
The enemy deployed the equipment within the area of responsibility of the 7th Air Assault Corps.
Lasar’s Group carried out joint analytical work with the 2nd ‘Shchedryk’ Battalion of the 411th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment ‘Hawks’.
“After that, our comrades scouted the area where the enemy systems were deployed and provided the information to Lasar’s Group,” the unit said.
Lasar’s drones were then sent to hunt the MLRS. UAV operators carried out precise strikes and destroyed six BM-21 Grad units – equivalent to a full battery.
“Thanks to the carefully planned actions of the National Guard’s Lasar’s Group and the ‘Shchedryk’ Battalion, it was possible to significantly reduce enemy fire pressure on Ukrainian infantry positions,” the unit said.
The BM-21 Grad can fire 40 rockets in about 20 seconds, striking targets at distances of 20–40 km depending on the type of ammunition.
The system is known for its mobility, rapid deployment, and ability to quickly change position after firing to avoid counter-battery fire.
The released video shows that Russian troops attempted to conceal the launchers, but Ukrainian reconnaissance units quickly detected them.
Since the start of the full-scale war, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have destroyed more than 300 Russian Grad multiple launch rocket systems and their variants.
