Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, visited the positions of the Ukrainian military in Bakhmut.

Kyrylo Budanov stayed in the city on December 27 and 28. He visited the working positions of the special intelligence officers.

The Head of Defence Intelligence received the report of the unit commanders and defined the tasks.

He also awarded military personnel who distinguished themselves during the destruction of the invaders.

In recent months, heavy fighting has been ongoing in the Bakhmut area: the invaders are using all their forces and means to attack the city. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding the defense.

The December 28 morning summary of the General Staff reported the shelling of populated areas in the Bakhmut direction. In particular, the enemy attacked the areas near the settlements of Spirne, Bilohorivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Opytne, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Bila Hora, Oleksandro-Shultine, Ozerianivka, Mayorsk, and New York of the Donetsk region.

Previously, Serhii Cherevaty, Spokesman for the Operational Command East of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, announced on the air of a nationwide telethon that on December 26, enemy troops lost 77 people killed and 125 wounded in the Bakhmut direction.

He emphasized that Bakhmut remains the primary area of attention of the Russian army.

He previously noted that the invaders have changed their tactics – instead of using company battalion formations, they are establishing assault detachments. These detachments include assault groups that are divided into subgroups: some directly assault, and others cover them with fire.

The fact that the invaders no longer pay attention to the bodies of their dead in the positions also speaks to the intensity of the hostilities in this direction. The video of this was recorded by the Ukrainian military with a drone.

The video portrays the invaders not reacting to the killed Russians in these positions and passing by their bodies.

The Ukrainian military also manages to capture the invaders.

In his evening address on December 26, Volodymyr Zelensky separately recognized the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade for replenishing the prisoners’ exchange fund.

The military, in turn, published a video featuring captured servicemen.
