Ukrainian Armor has handed over the AGEMA unmanned ground vehicle to the Kraken Regiment of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

The company’s press service reported on this on its social media pages.

The military received the unmanned ground vehicle free of charge.

The company hopes to receive information from the military on how the UGV performed in combat and how it should be optimized to ensure maximum efficiency.

According to Vladyslav Belbas, CEO of Ukrainian Armor, unmanned systems play a very important role in modern warfare.

To minimize the risks on the battlefield, the Kraken Regiment soldiers will be able to use the AGEMA unmanned ground vehicle to transport ammunition to their positions and evacuate the wounded.

Belbas expressed hope that after receiving information about combat use, the company will be able to finalize AGEMA as quickly as possible in accordance with the military’s request and organize deliveries to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

AGEMA

The developer of the AGEMA unmanned ground vehicle with amphibious capabilities is Milanion company from the United Arab Emirates. It is designed to provide logistical support, conduct reconnaissance, evacuate the wounded from the battlefield, launch its UAVs or fight enemy drones, provide communications, and perform other humanitarian functions. The UGV can be equipped with a variety of weapons, but the Ukrainian servicemen are currently testing it without weapons.

The AGEMA unmanned ground vehicle weighs 602 kilograms and is powered by a 40-horsepower internal combustion engine.

The UGV can take up to 622 kilograms of cargo when moving on land, and up to 330 kilograms when moving on water. It can also tow a load weighing up to 544 kilograms. The speed on land is up to 29 km/h, and on water – up to 5 km/h.

The unmanned ground vehicle is controlled remotely and can be programmed to perform autonomous tasks. It has the ability to follow soldiers at a certain distance or lead a group of soldiers.

“Back in 2021, Ukrainian Armor signed an agreement with Milanion company from the United Arab Emirates to jointly produce the AGEMA unmanned ground vehicle in Ukraine. Unfortunately, the war prevented these plans,” Vladyslav Belbas shared.
