The Kh-101 cruise missile that flew during the morning attack on Ukraine into Romania and Moldova crashed in a field.
The Telegram channel Nikolaevsky Vaniok (“Vaniok from Mykolaiv”) reported on this.
According to the published photos, during the missile attack on Ukraine, the enemy used Kh-101 cruise missiles that crossed the airspace of the two countries and entered the airspace of Ukraine in the Chernivtsi region.
The missile discovered was in a fairly intact condition, and its warhead did not detonate during the fall.
The incident is currently being investigated by the Romanian Ministry of Defense and the government to confirm that the missile fell on their territory.
According to the press service’s official commentary, the crossing of Romanian airspace was not confirmed based on monitoring data from Romanian air surveillance systems and information provided by NATO assets monitoring Romania’s area of responsibility.
“The competent structures of the Romanian Ministry of Defense will continue to investigate this situation to clarify all the circumstances,” the Ministry of Defense’s press service stated.
It is worth noting that the Romanian Ministry of Defense has repeatedly reported that it does not confirm the fact that Russian missiles crossed the country’s airspace but later confirmed these facts.
This applied to both cruise missiles and attack drones that crossed their territory.
Militarnyi previously reported that during the morning attack on Ukraine, one of the Russian missiles flew into Ukraine through Moldova and Romania.
The Russian cruise missile flew about 140 kilometers in the airspace of Moldova and Romania and reached its final trajectory in the Chernivtsi region of Ukraine.
It traveled from the Yampil district in the Vinnytsia region to the Daraban area in Botoșani county, Romania.
