Ukrainian military forces successfully destroyed Russian Shahed kamikaze jet drones using P1-SUN interceptors from SkyFall.

The combat deployment took place during one of the recent massive attacks, the company shared with Militarnyi.

The enemy drones were taken down by the crew of the 20th Separate K-2 Unmanned Systems Brigade and the BETMAN crew of the 15th Kara-Dag Special Operations Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine.

The released footage shows the process of guiding the Ukrainian interceptor to the target. The P1-SUN then catches up to the Russian jet drone and destroys it directly in mid-air.

The P1-SUN was developed by the Ukrainian company SkyFall and is positioned as one of the most effective systems in its class for countering Shahed-type UAVs. The drone’s design allows it to reach speeds of up to 310 km/h.

The aircraft’s technical specifications enable it to perform missions at distances of up to 33 km and altitudes of 9,000 meters.

The P1-SUN’s flight time is up to 17 minutes, during which it searches for and locks onto the target. To ensure the destruction of the target, the drone is equipped with a warhead weighing up to 800 grams, with sufficient power to destroy the fuselage and engine of an enemy UAV.

A distinctive feature of the SkyFall system is its proprietary control system, which enables remote operation of the drone. Thanks to this technology, the operator can control the interception process from virtually anywhere in the world with internet access.

The cost of a single interceptor is just over $1,000, which is significantly cheaper than using traditional anti-aircraft missiles to neutralize kamikaze drones.

The SkyFall Academy provides operator training for these systems. Training pilots from scratch takes just three weeks, during which anti-aircraft operators master all the necessary skills to independently carry out combat missions.

For operators who already have experience flying FPV drones, the training period is reduced to seven days.

It was previously reported that the oil giant Saudi Aramco wants to purchase drone interceptors from SkyFall and the “Wild Hornets”.
