JCET-2023 military exercises have commenced in Moldova with the participation of soldiers from four countries, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Moldova reports.
The training began on March 27 and will continue until April 7.
Military personnel of Moldova, the USA, Romania and the UK will take part in the maneuvers.
During this period, military equipment will be moved from base stations to the training centers of the Moldovan army.
The Ministry of Defense of Moldova requests citizens not to speculate on exercises and the planned transportation of military equipment.
It is noted that these trainings are planned to take place in training centers of the National Army of Moldova.
Military personnel of the four countries will perform combat shooting, parachute jumps, conduct training in field conditions with the implementation of specific assigned tasks.
The JCET-2023 military exercises are aimed at joint training and exchange of experience between Moldovan, Romanian, American and British special forces soldiers, as well as at increasing the level of operational interaction between the contingents participating in the maneuvers.
It is emphasized that soldiers from the special forces battalion of the National Army of Moldova have been participating in JCET exercises since 2009.
As previously reported, at the beginning of the year, the Armed Forces of Moldova received Piranha III armored personnel carriers from the German government.
The armored vehicles are transferred as part of the modernization of the national army’s capabilities and based on the agreement signed between Moldova and Germany in October 2021.
