The Come Back Alive Foundation handed over Leleka-100 UAV to the military of the Ivan Bohun 1st Separate Special Purpose Brigade.
This was announced on the foundation’s social media pages.
The servicemen currently defending the northern borders received the drone equipped with thermal imaging optics.
Leleka-100 was purchased as part of a joint project with “Aviatsiya Halychyny”.
Last year, as part of the cooperation, the company donated UAH 511,500 to the Come Back Alive Foundation. Funds were raised from the sale of T-shirts with the image of a drone.
The sale of each T-shirt transferred UAH 300 toward the UAV. Currently, the company is transferring UAH 200 from each Leleka T-shirt to the Come Back Alive Foundation account.
The Come Back Alive Foundation previously handed over the Leleka-100 UAV to the 47th Brigade.
It consists of two aircraft with ground stations, and day and night optics, along with the spare parts, tools, and consumables.
Leleka-100 UAV was designed to perform aerial reconnaissance, patrolling, and mapping tasks with the ability to transmit operational information and obtain accurate geographic coordinates in real-time.
It was developed by the Ukrainian company DeViRo and adopted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in May 2021.
The system is equipped to work in a difficult radio environment, in the mode of deliberate radio interference or blocking of satellite navigation systems.
