Israel’s President Isaac Herzog will present U.S. President Joe Biden with intelligence data proving evidence that Russia has deployed Iranian kamikaze drones in Ukraine.
Haaretz reportes about this.
These are fragments of Iranian “Shahed-136” kamikaze drones used to strike targets and the civilian population in Ukraine.
Israeli intelligence has established that the drone fragments found in Ukraine are identical in structure, size, and numbering to similar drones deployed in exercises in December 2021.
Other evidence reveals that drones downed in Ukraine have similar engines to those demonstrated by Iran as part of an October 2014 exhibition.
The United States previously confirmed the presence of Iranian military instructors working with Russians in the occupied territory of Ukraine, in particular in Crimea.
Subsequently, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stated that Iran could be shipping even more kamikaze drones and short- and medium-range ballistic missiles to the Russian Federation.
At the same time, Ukrainian intelligence reported that a group of military instructors had already arrived on the territory of the Russian Federation. They are supposed to teach the Russians to use surface-to-surface missiles.
Also, according to the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Iranian military instructors will teach the Russians how to use the Arash-2 attack drones.
As previously reported, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine appealed to Israel for help in the fight against Iranian drones.
Israel said it could not transfer weapons to Ukraine due to “operational restrictions” but would assist with the alert system.
