The Israeli company Elbit Systems has received a contract from an unnamed European country to supply high-precision missiles for the PULS missile system.
The order includes, among other things, Predator Hawk missiles with a range of 300 km.
The contract was announced on the defense company’s website.
The order is estimated to be worth approximately $130 million. It will be fulfilled within three years.
According to the contract, Elbit Systems will supply a variety of missiles, including the ACCULAR training missile with a range of up to 35 km, the EXTRA with a range of up to 150 km, and the Predator Hawk, which provides high-precision strikes at a range of up to 300 km.
These missiles in the PULS arsenal are designed to significantly enhance the operational capabilities of the customer’s defense forces.
PULS is a universal mobile launcher that houses containers with the ability to use a variety of different types of precision guided munitions of different calibers and with different ranges.
The system provides precision strike capabilities with an effective range of up to 300 kilometers using 370 mm Predator Hawk missiles.
Elbit Systems is positioning this missile as a means for precision strikes against protected targets. It is equipped with a 140-kilogram unitary warhead and has a claimed accuracy of 10 meters. The minimum range is 50 km, and the maximum range is 300 km, which the missile can cover in 8 minutes.
Due to its overall simplicity of design, the PULS missile system is becoming increasingly popular in Europe as European countries continue to strengthen their defense capabilities.
In recent years, the system has been chosen by many countries, including Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and others.
The European version of this MLRS, called EuroPULS, is planned to integrate the Norwegian Naval Strike Missile (NSM) anti-ship missile.
