Iranian General: In the Event of War, All US Military Bases Will Be Targeted

Iranian Brigadier General Mohammad Ekreminia said that in the event of an open conflict with the United States, hostilities would engulf the entire region.

According to him, absolutely all US military facilities in the Middle East would be targeted, TRT reports.

“If war breaks out, it will cover the entire region and all US bases — from the occupied territories to the Gulf and the Sea of Oman, where American bases are located,” Ekreminia said.

The brigadier general stressed that the Iranian army is constantly on alert and is considering all possible scenarios.

Despite the aggressive rhetoric, the army representative noted that the country’s defense remains a priority for Iran. He said that the choice between compromise and conflict now rests with Donald Trump.

Peace talks between the US and Iran

Amid these statements, information about attempts at a diplomatic settlement has emerged. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi announced on social media that preparations for new negotiations were underway. A meeting between official representatives of Iran and the United States is scheduled to take place on February 6 in Muscat, the capital of Oman.

The main topic of the upcoming meeting will be the discussion of Iran’s nuclear program, which remains a key source of tension between the two countries.
